Name Assignment

 

HOMEWORK: Bring in 15 examples from the newspaper, magazines, or from any other printed material of different lettering styles.  The must be neatly glued with rubber cement on a sheet of notebook paper.

    MATERIALS:  
   

The assignment will be done on 12x18 inch white paper.

  
   

Any or all of the following may be used.

  1. Markers
  2. Colored Pencils
  3. Crayons

 

 

 

 

                          

 

        

ASSIGNMENT:

 

1. DO A NAME DESIGN - Create a design using a motif.

2. Create a motif that consists of your name written four times as shown below.

 

3. Create a design by repeating your design over and over on the page in different ways. Be sure to use the required Daily Design techniques below.

4. Strongly consider the following Daily Design choices, as well as the other Daily Design techniques, as you place each motif on the page:

       Motif has a feeling of weight and the combined weights of all the elements in the design should feel balanced.
